We are committed to the following core ethical principles:

Professional Conduct

As ParamitaLab professionals, we pledge to conduct ourselves in ways that uphold these ethical principles in practice. Specifically, we commit to:
  • Upholding members/participants/stakeholders Welfare: Prioritise the well-being and interests of our members/participants/stakeholders, delivering services within our expertise, and referring to other professionals when appropriate to ensure clients receive the best possible care.
  • Maintaining Confidentiality: Protect client information at all times, obtaining explicit informed consent before sharing data with third parties, except as required by law.
  • Communicating Clearly: Establish clear agreements with clients regarding services, fees, timelines, and confidentiality to prevent misunderstandings.
  • Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest promptly and transparently, taking appropriate steps to resolve them in the best interests of all.
  • Respecting Intellectual Property: Give credit where credit is due by acknowledging the contributions and ideas of others, strictly adhering to copyright and intellectual property laws.
  • Engaging in Continuous Learning: Actively pursue opportunities for professional growth through ongoing education, training, and skills development.
  • Complying with Laws and Regulations: Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations in our practice.
  • Promoting Ethical Research: Ensure that all research is conducted with integrity, including obtaining necessary approvals, informed consent, and safeguarding the well-being of research participants.
  • Rejecting Unethical Practices: Refuse to engage in activities that are illegal, discriminatory, exploitative, or harmful to individuals or the environment.

We recognize that ethical behaviour is a continuous journey that requires self-awareness, reflection, and improvement. We hold ourselves accountable for our actions and encourage a culture where ethical concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. We aim to resolve issues with a focus on learning and correction, when appropriate.
